cake smash

Macoy turned one and celebrated with a cake almost as big as he was in his cozy home in Palo, Iowa.

Macoy sat down for his cake smash and didn't know where to start. His mom told stories of his brothers' cake smash experiences so we didn't know if he would be timid or and animal!

First he went after a cookie and seemed less than interested in the whole "smashing" business. We watched him gnaw on the same side of the same cookies for a few minutes before his mom removed the cookies, leaving no barriers between him and destruction.

Macoy took it nice a slow, just a touch of the frosting, not really knowing what to do. Well his older brothers couldn't wait for him to figure it out so they gladly showed him how fist-fulls of cake are eaten.

Not wanting to be left out, Macoy picked up a chunk of cake, and another, until chunks weren't enough and he needed the whole thing! But that darn cake stand was getting in the way between him and more cake.

He took the cake off and when back at it. 

Two festive brothers realized they had balloons on hand for a party and wanted to shower Macoy with balloons. 

In the end, Macoy could not finish a cake the size of himself so he shared with his other two brothers of the fury variety.
